An original 1962 French poster for the Festival Populaire de Ballets at the Théâtre National Populaire, Palais de Chaillot, Paris. Directed by celebrated choreographer Roland Petit under Jean Vilar, the festival presented four original ballets with scenic elements and costumes by Yves Saint Laurent. Featuring a striking turquoise star and an expressive Saint Laurent ballerina illustration, the poster captures an important collaboration between French ballet, theatre and fashion in the early 1960s.
