An original French theatre poster for Jean Vilar's 1960 production of Alain-René Lesage's Turcaret at the Théâtre National Populaire, Palais de Chaillot, Paris. Featuring a striking playing-card design referencing the play's satire of money and social ambition, the production featured sets and costumes by Gustave Singier and original music by jazz legend Duke Ellington. A fantastic example of French mid-century theatre and graphic design.
