Created for an exhibition of Bernard Villemot’s work at the Centre Municipal de l’Affiche in Toulouse, this striking poster revisits imagery from Villemot’s celebrated 1973 Une Nuit en voiture-lit campaign for the SNCF. The sleeping figure is reduced to elegant, sweeping forms and blocks of deep blue, white, black and soft lilac – a perfect example of Villemot’s unmistakable graphic style.
