A striking 1946 French railway travel poster promoting the Côte Basque, designed by Vecoux for the SNCF. Overlooking the bay of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, the composition combines dramatic coastline, traditional Basque architecture and a Basque pelota court in a luminous, painterly style. Produced in the optimistic years following World War II, it is a superb example of classic French travel poster design.
