Fernand Léger: Galerie Louis Carré

An original exhibition poster produced for a showing of Fernand Léger's work at the Galerie Louis Carré in Paris. Léger and Louis Carré had one of the most important artist-gallerist relationships in post-war French art, and the gallery on Avenue de Messine was a landmark of the Parisian art world. This poster, small in format but striking in presence, reflects Léger's characteristic fusion of bold geometry, primary colour and industrial imagery. A genuine period document from one of modernism's great collaborations.
