This is the theatrical poster for King Kong, the big-budget 1976 remake of the classic 1933 monster film. Produced by Dino De Laurentiis and directed by John Guillermin, the film stars Jeff Bridges and Charles Grodin, and introduced Jessica Lange in her first major role.

The dramatic artwork shows Kong towering over New York from the top of the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers while military jets attack – a modernised update to the famous Empire State Building climax of the original film. Printed in 1976 for the movie’s theatrical release, the poster was produced using offset printing in large-format for cinema advertising.
