Stunning and iconic image depicting two women from "the Golden Age of Travel" overlooking the Bondi Beach, in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. This art deco style poster is one of the real gems of Australian travel posters. if not the top one.

Designed by Percy Trompf, one of Australia's most prolific and most celebrated poster designers.

A view of the crowd, excitement and even some of the cars in parking lot of Bondi Beach, as seen from the front of the former Astra Hotel.

Its purpose was to help market Australia as a travel destination to the American and British markets. "To communicate its message to a world that knew little of Australia, the ANTA had to resort to producing striking imagery and simple slogans . . . ANTA became heavily involved in commissioning travel posters". This scene of Bondi Beach was one of the first posters produced by the Association.
