Designed in 1954 by French artist Jean Jacquelin for SNCF (French National Railways), this original vintage travel poster promotes the picturesque lakes of France's Massif Central region. Viewed through the window of a train, a colourful landscape of mountains, lakes, sailing boats and rolling green hills unfolds. With its rich greens, soft blues and bold yellow typography, this is a beautiful example of mid-century French travel advertising.
