An original Italian tourism poster by Gino Boccasile, circa 1938, created for the Italian National Tourist Board (ENIT). The composition combines two iconic references to Italian culture – a radiant classical face reminiscent of Roman antiquity and a sculptural classical head – set against swirling bands of light and colour. The luggage tag reading 'Italie' ('Italy' in French) indicates that the poster was aimed at the international travel market, particularly visitors from France and elsewhere in Europe. Blending Art Deco graphics with photomontage, it remains one of the most celebrated and visually innovative Italian travel posters of the interwar period.
