Monte-Carlo (c. 1937) is a glamorous Riviera travel poster by Jean-Gabriel Domergue –the French painter famed for elegant, long-necked 'pin-up' society women.
Commissioned to promote Monaco, Domergue created both summer (L’Été à Monte-Carlo) and winter (L’Hiver à Monte-Carlo) versions around 1937: the summer design features alluring bathers; the winter one shows an evening couple against the glittering bay.
