Picasso Exhibition Poster, The Pace Gallery

This poster features Picasso’s painting Woman with Bird, 1970. Between January 13 and 14, 1970, Picasso painted three pictures of a woman who has a bird on her shoulder/breast. Only the woman’s head and part of her breast are visible. The picture in this poster was the last in the series. The colouring, in soft pink and steely grey shades, contrasts with the hurried rhythm of the brush-strokes and with the size of the face, which dominates the entire scene.
