This poster features Picasso’s Head of Faun, 1946. The picture presented forms part of the Suite of Fauns, inspired by the atmosphere of the Musee d’Antibes, and which Picasso produced in the studio he had there. It has been said that Antibes is the corner of Provence most reminiscent of Greece. In these surroundings and with the enthusiasm that he felt at the beginning of his relationship with Francoise, Picasso created a valuable collection of paintings full of mythological characters.
