Eduardo Chillida (1924–2002) is regarded as one of the most important Spanish sculptors of the 20th century. Chillida first became famous for his monumental abstract steel works, many of which are now public sculptures. Despite his use of varied mediums, Chillida’s intentions of simplicity and balance never allowed for the material to take on a form foreign to its nature. In 1968 his works were exhibited at the Galerie Maeght, Paris. This is the poster produced to advertise this exhibition.
The Galerie Maeght is a gallery of modern art in Paris that displays primarily French and Spanish artworks.
